Rodney Hakimi is the owner and principal general contractor of Prime Renovations — a Maryland design-build firm serving Baltimore and the surrounding region. With more than a decade in the trades, he specializes in complex residential remodels: additions, kitchens, framing, windows, and siding. He also leads commercial build-outs and the specialized medical and dental office fit-outs that demand careful coordination around equipment, electrical loads, compressed air, and vacuum systems.
Before focusing entirely on general contracting, Rodney built a strong foundation in property management and real estate — work that gave him a thorough understanding of building lifecycles, structural integrity, and what it means to own something long-term. That background drew him toward the design-build model: one contract, one accountable team, connecting the client's vision to scope, budget, materials, trades, schedule, and execution without a single handoff to lose it in.
On every job, Rodney stays hands-on. He leads client consultations, reviews drawings, prepares and revises estimates, coordinates subcontractors and suppliers, sources materials, and walks the site daily — not as an oversight formality, but to solve field problems in real time and hold the work to the standard the client was actually promised.
Design-build, to us, is about responsibility from the first idea to the final detail. We brought design and construction under one roof to eliminate the handoffs, the guesswork, and the compromises that so often dilute great ideas — so a project feels like one clear process, guided by one accountable team.
